Botox® for Bunny Lines
Soft furry bunnies are cuddly and sweet, and the way little bunnies scrunch up their noses is cute, but those little lines on bunnies’ noses lose their appeal when you see such lines on your own nose. Fortunately, they can be diminished with Botox® injections.
Botox injections are used to treat a variety of wrinkles on and around the face, including the small bunny lines that can appear on the bridge of the nose. Botox has been a cosmetic solution for wrinkle reduction and softening facial lines and creases for decades. It works by blocking signals from the brain to the target muscles. When the signals are blocked, those muscles are not able to contract or tighten as forcefully or as excessively as usual. This relaxation of the muscles causes the wrinkles to soften.

The lines on the bridge of your nose, or bunny lines, are formed as a result of your facial expressions in which you wrinkle your nose. This is the result of laughing or frowning often. As you age, the lines caused by contraction of muscles can linger. This is due to loss of elasticity in the skin.
Fine lines, sagging skin and of course wrinkles, become more prominent with age. Overworked muscles tend to produce the most lines and wrinkles. When wrinkles form as a result of muscle movement, they can be softened, or in some instances eliminated, with Botox injections.
When getting Botox injections for crow’s feet or glabellar lines, the lines between eyebrows and above the nose, the lines on the bridge of the nose can become more prominent. It is not uncommon to get these lines treated when the others are addressed.
